Psychosocial issues among migrants during COVID-19

India has about 120 million migrant labourers, according to the labour rights group Aajiveeka. From losing income to leaving for home in a rush to facing police brutality, these workers are facing various perils. The document contextualises the increased vulnarability of migrant workers to various social, psychological and emotional traumas, due to their inability to go back to their home towns and the harsh conditions they are faced with in the cities they migrated to.
